Cranequeniers of the second half of the 15th century
The Cranequeniers, on foot or mounted, were equipped with crossbows. They were drawn with "goats foots" or German style winches – this types of crosbows, respectively these devices, were called cranequin.
The cranequin device- the winch with crank and rack (respetively the goat foot), was carried by each crossbowman at the belt.
Each of these Cranequiniers has his pavise shield. Two are wearing a open sallet helmet, a mail shirt under their stylish padded jackets with slightly puffed sleeves; And one wears a simple Jacket over the breastplate, and an open German sallet with a scaled pointed neck.
The hands are modeled open, the crossbows and pavis are separate parts to attach.
